As our experts will tell you, thinking carefully about one’s personal statement is the first step towards a successful university application. A correctly structured personal statement should follow a logical narrative about the applicant and convey their enthusiasm for their chosen subject. It is important to impress university admission teams and show them that you are the right fit for their course. After all, learning to highlight one’s best qualities is a skill that will come in handy as an adult when it’s time to apply for a job.

Top School & Uni has already supported many students to help them gain entrance to a university that’s the right fit for them. We use specialist advisors from top universities on all our courses to guide our students through their application to success.

Our personal statement support comes in two forms: Personal Statement Support Programme and Personal Statement Masterclasses – see below to find out more.

Our tutors work closely with students on a one to one basis to help draft a strong personal statement, ensuring that their experiences and interests are correctly weighted to suit the course they want to attend. During three one hour sessions, students to get dedicated time with their tutor – allowing them to maintain focus on the task at hand

Writing a great personal statement takes time, which is why each of our one to one personal statement students also receive access to our personal statement programme materials, ensuring that students have taken the correct steps to support it in the months beforehand:

– Suggested subject reading

-A work experience suggestion list

– Access to all 4 of our personal statement masterclasses

Our 4 Masterclasses cover all aspects of writing a personal statement . Students are expected to listen and take notes and there will be a portion of the live masterclasses dedicated to questions and discussion.

It’s important to research a university course and cater your personal statement towards it. Our tutors also teach students how to boost an application with relevant activities that let the admissions team know that an applicant is serious about taking their course.
